What to do if a message seems suspicious

Stop the conversation before sending money, documents, verification codes, or personal information. A familiar photo, voice, or video is not proof that an account belongs to Zavala Law Group or Attorney Salomón Zavala.

1. Do not use the phone number or link included in the suspicious message.
2. Call one of the official numbers listed above and ask our team to confirm the contact.
3. Do not make a payment to a personal account, payment app, cryptocurrency wallet, or unfamiliar recipient.
4. Save the message, account name, phone number, and payment instructions before blocking the sender.

Help document the impersonation attempt

Keep screenshots of the complete conversation, including the date, username, profile link, telephone number, email address, and any request for money or documents. Do not edit the screenshots or delete the original conversation. This information may help identify how the impersonation occurred and whether other community members received the same message.If you already sent money or shared sensitive information, contact your bank or payment provider promptly and ask what protective steps are available. You may also report the account to the platform where the contact occurred and to the appropriate authorities. Then call Zavala Law Group through one of the official channels on this page so our office can confirm whether the communication was genuine.
